Job Description

Our full-care hospital in the Central Valley is one of the largest employers in Stanislaus County with approximately 2,400 employees and more than 200 volunteers. We admit more than 19,000 patients annually and treat more than 51,000 patients in the Emergency Department each year. The scope of services includes cardiology, neurology, emergency and trauma services, air ambulance, women and childrens services, orthopedics, medical/surgical, oncology, and critical/intensive care.
We are looking for a Clinical Pharmacist. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy and licensed to practice in the State of California. Doctor of Pharmacy degree or B.S. in pharmacy with equivalent experience. Ability to read, write, hear, and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job.
Clinical
pharmacists
identify, resolve, and prevent drug-related problems. They recommend and monitor patient drug therapy and provide drug information. Clinical
pharmacists
interact with patients, family, and other health care providers as appropriate to assure continuity of services and to achieve desired patient outcomes through safe, timely, cost-effective drug therapy.
Preferred Qualifications: One year of practical experience as a pharmacist of which six months have been gained in a hospital or equivalent practice setting. Residency in hospital pharmacy. Previous experience with a dedicated pharmacy computer system. Experience with a personal computer and associated programs. Ability to work independently. Excellent verbal/written interpersonal communication skills.
