OverView:
Varied Shift Pharmacy Tech position. Days and nights (varied scheduled shifts) are available ***Preferred candidates will have previous pharmacy tech experience*** Position will be utilized heavily as the stock IV technician and will require receiving large pallets of IV solutions, stocking the IV med stations on nursing units, and stocking of IVs within pharmacy, receive/stock miscellaneous orders, and may be required order IV fluids

Responsibilities:
Participates in the following aspects of medication use: selection, procurement and storage, and dispensing. Internal customers may include Patients, Nurses, Licensed Independent Practitioners, Nursing Directors, Department Directors, Administrators and other health care team members for the purpose of integrating services, improving patient care and ensuring effective communication systems. External customers may include local, state, and national pharmacy organizations, Joint commission, state Board of Pharmacy, colleagues and peers, educational institutions and pharmaceutical representatives.

Qualifications:
Requires high school diploma or equivalent, one-two years pharmacy technician experience preferred, technician certification or licensure required; basic clerical experience with typing skills of 40wpm preferred; knowledge of math and medication terminology; knowledge of computer software, particularly pharmacy system software, such as Pyxis; training in compounding intravenous medication and sterile products preparation preferred. Must have effective written and verbal communication, organizational and problem solving skills. products preparation.
