Position Summary: Functions as a recognized expert, providing authoritative professional guidance and expertise in support of clinical investigational drug trials to staff. Coordinates, collaborates, and performs educational responsibilities within this field of expertise. Participates in research and IRB-related activities to assure compliance with federal, state, FDA, and other regulations. Develops policies and procedures and SOPs for safe and efficient storage, preparation, distribution and control of investigational drugs. Prepares and maintains comprehensive, accurate, and timely records and reports including usage and dispensing records, collection forms, financial and budgeting information. Serves as a resource and liaison for principle investigators, research sponsors, the IRB, and pharmacy. Will also perform the day to day responsibilities of drug distribution, processing, and therapeutic intervention, as needed. Incumbents will lecture two times per year to other medical professionals and be published at least one time every three years in a medical journal. May be a co-principal investigator on patient clinical research, or an investigator on Pharmacy practice research. This position is a Direct Patient Care Provider as defined in Pharmacy Policy.
Rate Minimum $106,800.00 Maximum $192,500.00
Required Qualifications: Current BLS or ACLS certificationExperience in oncology pharmacy practiceMinimum four years of clinical experience as a licensed pharmacist, or two years experience & completion of a PGY-1 ResidencyMinimum of two years experience in developing and implementing investigational drug services programsRegistered Pharmacist in good standing licensed by the state of California
Preferred Qualifications: Completion of PGY-2 Investigational Drug Services ResidencyEffective presentation skills
