We are seeking a experienced 7on 7off 3rd Shift (21:00 pm to 7:30 am) Pharmacist to join our team. Must have Bachelors or Pharm D. Degree, Registered Pharmacist in the State of CA. Must have 2-3 years minimum of recent experience in a Hospital In-Patient Pharmacy in required.
You will interpret and transcribe written drug orders/prescriptions and obtain immediate clarification when necessary. Monitor and/or review drug regimens for possible drug interactions and allergies and respond accordingly in a professional manner to other members of the medical staff in a means to remedy the circumstances. Accurately prepare and/or supervise the preparation and dispensing of drug orders/prescriptions in a timely manner. Supervise and remain accountable for drug orders and floor stock supplies prepared by the Pharmacy Technicians. Monitor and maintain a reasonable and consistent drug inventory agreeable with the practices of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and Pharmacy Department Manager. Provide drug information to the medical and hospital staff as well as to the community when required. Assist the Pharmacy Department Manager in Quality Assurance monitoring and data collection, or any other duties as necessary. Assists in the functions associated with JCAHO accreditation.
a) Must be a Registered Pharmacist in the State of California
b) Hospital pharmacy including IV admixture and/or home
c) Reads, writes and speaks conversational English
d) Deals with multiple demands in a fast-paced pharmacy in an accurate efficient, calm and pleasant manner.
e) PC and pharmacy computer skills desired.
f) Presents a personal appearance and interpersonal skills that makes a good first impression.
