The Medical Center is located on a 37-acre campus south of Kansas City, Missouri that includes outpatient facilities, medical office buildings, administrative offices and a comprehensive health and fitness center. We have approximately 1,000 employees and more than 600 physicians on its medical staff.
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist. Must be a graduate of an accredited school or college of pharmacy. With a BS in pharmacy or a PharmD.
Licensure/Certifications: Current licensure from State of Missouri.
Experience: At least 2 years of hospital experience, preferred.
This is ab evening position consists of eight hour shifts. Can be somewhat flexible in the start time of between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm.
Under direct supervision of the Pharmacy Director and /or Supervisor, reviews, interprets and processes medication orders. Enters orders into the computer system and fills required doses, prepares and/or directly supervises the preparation of IV admixtures, checks all work done by technicians and clerks, and compounds medications as needed. Communicates with nursing and medical personnel regarding medication orders or drug therapy issues and reviews medication profiles.
