Our hospital has been premier healthcare providers for over 40 years - we are a 354 bed facility. The Medical Center is located on a 37-acre campus in Kansas City, KS that includes outpatient facilities, medical office buildings, administrative offices and a comprehensive health and fitness center. We have approximately 1,000 employees and more than 600 physicians on its medical staff.
We are looking for a Pharmacist. Schedule is 2:00pm to 11:30pm Monday-Friday! Must be a graduate of an accredited school or college of pharmacy. Preference for Pharm D degree, however a combination of BS degree and demonstrated clinical work experience is also acceptable. Pharmacy Residency preferred. Licensure from State of Kansas required.
Hospital experience required; critical care experience preferred. Under direct supervision of the Pharmacy Director and /or Supervisor, reviews, interprets and processes medication orders. Enters orders into the computer system and fills required doses, prepares and/or directly supervises the preparation of IV admixtures, checks all work done by technicians and clerks, and compounds medications as needed. Communicates with nursing and medical personnel regarding medication orders or drug therapy issues and reviews medication profiles.
